I saw some anime that I enjoyed and want to get into. The first is..

At the peak of the Heian Era, famine and disease tear the country apart, deadly assassins fill the court, and wild bandits infest the countryside. The legendary samurai Minamoto is sent on an Imperial quest for an artifact that can restore the world. But his skill with the bow cannot save him from illness, and his young sister is forced to take his place.
Hikaru Minamoto and her companions embark on a quest to find the Magatama to bring new life to Japan. Her survival in the emperor's court depends on one thing ? she must keep her true identity hidden.

Right away he meets up with a trio of outlaws: Mataichi the Trickster, Ogin the Puppeteer and Nagamimi the Bird Caller.
As they travel, the group encounters the most twisted and horrible parts of human nature. It is the task of this group to punish each person in a manner fitting their crimes - a gruesome undertaking to say the least?

I saw the first episode of each and was very impressed. The first dvd was just beautiful. I don't see much anime in that style. It reminds me of Akira and Ninja Scroll. It was very refreshing considering most of the anime I've seen looks the same. |

Does this look like Orlando Bloom to you? I didn't think so. The previews for Kingdom of Heaven look just like King Arthor and I didn't want to see that either. Maybe I'll suffer through it to see his hotness.
